*I accidently put 'be/act more mature' twice - my bad !
I've made quite a few resolutions this year .. hopefully i'll achieve them by the end of 2013 . The ones in the picture aren't my own resolutions , but these are ones I saw other people trying to achieve by the end of this year . The book I used is actually a diary I got so I could write down the foods I eat because i'm trying to be more healthy (:
This is a different type of picture , I did the obvious editing of the lists over the diary on purpose but ah well , i'm still just experimenting .
What are your new year resolutions ?
I found out as a fact that 80% of people fail their resolutions each year , oh well .

I myself do not make resolutions but my grandma and mum told me I should make a list of wishes until January 1st, 9 p.m. because supposedly all wishes would come true. I don't believe it but still made a long list of wishes just for fun. A lot of them were like "Be happy", "Others should be happy", many were more concrete and were like "Find a girlfriend", "Finish exams successfully", "Win a contest", etc. and some were like "Smile much", "Laugh much", etc.
Actually, I could check whether any are fulfilled. *checks* Ok, it seems that four are more or less fulfilled:
- "Fix health (at least to the point where it doesn't disturb)". I have one health problem but I started taking medicine and I may just be keeping it somewhat at bay.
- "Do good deeds". Well, I picked up a ring for a girl, helped my dad carry the wood, etc. Well, it's something but maybe I should have wished for more.
- "Smile much". I seem to be smiling a lot recently, and I was surprised at myself having a smirk while washing dishes, I'm even a bit smiling right now. What the heck?
- "Successfully fly home and then back". The planes were late but at least I wasn't late and managed to fly back with just small delays. I call this success.
I still don't say I believe in this wish stuff. But it's cool to look at it like it is working. And I hope it was interesting for you to read this.
There's something I do each year though . I have a big jar , and throughout the year I write good things that happen to me and achievements and I put them into the jar . Then on December 31st , I open the jar and read all the good things that happened to me last year . I've been doing it for 4 years now and it gives me something to look foward to on new year's eve .
Wow, I'm impressed. I could do something like this, too, some time! I'm not sure why I myself want to help people. In many cases, I guess I just want people to like me and feel thankful towards me. "Thank you very much" may just be the most beautiful phrase for me, not "I love you" which I hear a lot and I doubt its sincerity...
I like this idea. I'm considering doing the same. Though, I feel there may be just too many things to write.
